The expanse books mormon11/11/2022 ![]() The colonists on Ilus get their eyeballs infected with this stuff which makes them all go blind.all except for Holden, who is on cancer meds that keep things from propogating out of control. There's this algae that floats in the clouds above the planet's surface, and when it rains, the algae can infect bodies of saline water (which it loves to multiply inside because that's its perfect environment). #The expanse books mormon plus#In that particular plot following the opening of the ring gates which lead to 1300 plus solar systems with habitable worlds, the first settled world called Ilus, comes to be very challenging for a bunch of colonists. Those cancer meds, which Holden swallows every day, end up factoring into the story of Cibola Burn, the fourth novel in the series. One of the things that I think is brilliant with regard to the plotting of these novels (and story at large) is how every detail is never too small not to factor into a bigger plot point. They are both exposed to lethal radiation, but because of fantastic strides in medicine, Holden just has to take some cancer meds to keep the radiation from creating fatal cancers in his body. From there, the whole of Eros station of 15 million are doomed and Holden and Miller barely make it off alive. I get the impression that Julie's crew was infected intentionally, and Juliette Mao (unaware of the danger her infection brings) flees to Eros station where Holden and Miller find her in the bathroom of her suite basically disintegrating into blackened tentacles as the protomolecule consumes her. ![]() Unbeknownst to anyone, the missing daughter, Juliette Mao, is the last survivor of a doomed crew that got infected by an alien virus called the protomolecule (because it was being studied by a bunch of psychopathic scientists who discovered the two billion year old strain in some ice around Saturn). ![]() Naturally, his fate gets entwined with a Detective Miller who is looking for the missing daughter of a mega-rich sociopathic scientist by the name of Jules Pierre Mao. ![]()

Skinny gossip starving tip of the day11/11/2022 ![]() ![]() ![]() The models - male and female - are mostly lithe, tanned, tall white people who are either well-muscled (for men) or very, very thin (for women). There is no secret about what looks “good” in media today. How could another woman be so cruel? How could these women with rather low BMIs be publicly flogged as “fat?” Why is this site so popular? And yet, even though the initial reaction is one of anger and even blistering self-consciousness, with a bit of reflection, the more pressing question becomes: What could possibly make a woman - only identified as “working in the fasion industry… around 5’7 and 100 pounds” - feel this way about the women around her, and ultimately, about herself? It’s hard not to be on that website for more than 10 seconds and not feel a stomach-turning wave of rage and frustration about all that’s being said of these beautiful women’s bodies. Some people are fortunate enough to not understand why a site like Skinny Gossip is so incredibly upsetting. Though you could argue that the understanding of the deeply problematic nature of this article is not universal, and his response to it is so light as to be frustrating, it’s clear that that a simple compliment to the woman for what he perceives to be her A-OK body type was only meant in kindness. Upton looks pretty objectively great and that this “article” - and the website it’s published on - deserves far more than a chuckling disagreement with their assessment of her looks and shape. The friend was a man, and his commentary was what can only be described as amicably oblivious, something along the lines of, “I think she looks great!” I think we can all agree, even if her particular style isn’t our cup of tea, that Ms. A few days ago, an acquaintance of mine posted a link to this take-down of Kate Upton’s body on my Facebook news feed. ![]()

The game of life by hasbro11/11/2022 ![]() However, the animations can be extremely slow. In addition, there are animations or cartoons for each of the spaces on which one can land, and some of them are even mildly amusing. Hasbro Interactive have tried to spice the game up visually by giving you a first-person perspective as you travel across the board. Obviously, this can become a bit tedious, and the fact that - unlike the boardgame - you don't even have to pick up and move your piece or count the spaces means that you are really not much more than a spectator once you hit the "spinner" button. "Playing" the game simply requires hitting the button that says "spinner," and watching what happens next. The game can be played with up to six players, with any combination of humans and computer opponents (exception: no computer opponents are available for network play). Some people might consider this a questionable goal in light of the fact that it might encourage children to be more materialistic, but I would suggest that these people lighten up. Players will either collect or pay money on each space, or they will collect a "LIFE tile." LIFE tiles consist of cards with random dollar values that the player reveals only upon traversing the entire game board and "retiring." The object of the game is not to be the one to traverse the board first (or even last - you don't win if you live the longest!) but to have the most money after everyone has finished (retired). Landing on a given space causes some "life-related" event to occur, such as having to pay taxes, or going on vacation, or some such. ![]() Gameplay consists of advancing across the board, which is divided into a number of spaces. If I really wanted to play a game of this sort (again, as a child), I would be far more inclined to play the boardgame and interact with the other players directly and move the pieces myself rather than focus on the computer screen. ![]() If I were a child and old enough to play a game of this sort, there would probably be far more interesting things for me to do on the computer than play The Game of LIFE. For this reason, I'm not sure how useful a computer version of this game is. As a result, this is a game that children will play with their friends or that the whole family will play together. Consequently, everyone has about an equal chance of winning any given playing. Thus, players don't get punished for making bad decisions: they simply get punished for bad luck. You simply spin the spinner and move as many spaces as it tells you. The Game of LIFE is an excellent children's game because there are a minimal number of decisions to make during play. Hasbro Interactive are releasing quite a few of their boardgame titles on computer (such as the aforementioned Sorry! as well as Axis & Allies), and as a result we're now able to play The Game of LIFE without having to clean off the dining room table. ![]() Of course, this is 1998, so it seems almost natural that a version would be released for the computer. While the fact was that the only thing you might learn was a bizarre caricature of life according to stereotypes formed during the 1950's, The Game of LIFE was certainly one of the children's/family games that most people of my generation will remember having played on at least a few occasions, along with such games as Sorry! and Clue. "You can learn about life when you play The Game of LIFE!" Many (American) readers will instantly recognize this catchy television jingle of some twenty years ago promoting the old boardgame by this name. ![]()

Cabin fever streaming11/11/2022 ![]() ![]() Despite the ton of money brought to bear against Shames, she gained great publicity for the film and CFP finally settled for a disclaimer on the front of the video saying it had nothing to do with them. She was also sued by a division of American Tobacco Company, Cabin Fever Productions, claiming her sexually oriented film brought disrepute on their name. Shames was interviewed for People Magazine and got a great writeup. Surprise, surprise, it's still available and, last time I checked, had sold in the neighbourhood of 50,000 copies. #Cabin fever streaming updateAs an only 45 minute video, Shames was told it would never make it to cable and would probably sell 2000 copies over it's life. It ran on, among others, the Playboy Channel. ![]() The film was extremely well received and went straight to the video stores and cable. TAGLINE: 'Terror in the flesh. Women were particularly appreciative of the video and many men were surprised at what a turn on it was without specific sexual shots. Streaming Guide: Cabin Fever A group of five college graduates rent a cabin in the woods and begin to fall victim to a horrifying flesh-eating virus, which attracts the unwanted attention of the homicidal locals. Comments from viewers at the time were universally good. Lonnie Barbach, an expert on women's sexuality issues. And the sex scenes were done with great taste. The acting was quite good, the script was charming with a lot of humour in it. It was shot on a shoestring budget and yet has far better values than one might expect. This was one of a series done by Director Deborah Shames who had always wanted to make erotica specifically for women. ![]()

In the film, he thwarts every effort Katherine (Taraji P. He was created to represent certain racist and sexist attitudes that existed during the 1950s. In fact-checking the Hidden Figures movie, we learned that white collar statistician Paul Stafford, portrayed by Jim Parsons, is a fictional character. Is Jim Parsons' character, NASA engineer Paul Stafford, based on a real person? In those days, NASA still went by the initials NACA, the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, which in 1958 became the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) thanks to the Space Act of 1958. Like in the movie, she worked with airplanes in the Guidance and Navigation Department. The Hidden Figures true story confirms that she was hired in 1953 at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia to work as part of a female team nicknamed "Computers Who Wear Skirts." She then began to assist the all-male flight research team, who eventually welcomed her on board. Eventually, the signs stopped reappearing at some point during the war. It was Miriam Mann, a member of the West Computers, who finally decided to remove the sign, and when an unknown hand would make a new sign a few days later, Miriam would shove that sign into her purse too. The hidden movie skin#In Margot Lee Shetterly's book, Hidden Figures, she writes about a cardboard sign on one of the tables in the back of NASA Langley's cafeteria during the early 1940s that read, "COLORED COMPUTERS." This particularly struck a nerve with the women because it seemed especially ridiculous and demeaning in a place where research and intellectual ability was focused on much more than skin color. ![]() African-American computers had also been put in the segregated west section of the Langley campus and were dubbed the "West Computers." - WHROTV Interview The hidden movie movie#I knew it was there, but I didn't feel it." "I didn't feel the segregation at NASA, because everybody there was doing research," says the real Katherine G. Katherine proved to be so smart that she skipped several grades, graduating high school at age 14 and from West Virginia State College at 18. He did this for eight years, so that each of his four children could go to high school and college. He rented a house for the family to stay during the school year and journeyed back and forth to White Sulphur Springs for his job at a hotel. Katherine's father, Joshua, was determined to see his children reach their potential, so he drove the family 120 miles to Institute, West Virginia, where blacks could pursue an education past the eighth grade, through high school, and into college.
